A Visit to Steven Hubbard’s The Red Room
Magazine TM 2025 pictured (first) on the wooden chair in The Red Room that inspired the multi-layer linoleum print by Steven Hubbard (second). This piece was also featured with a companion print A Shaft of Light in the 2025 magazine. Steven wrote to me in 2024,
when I come downstairs (from my studio), I like to spend time in The Red Room. It is lined with books and prints, (my own and a collection of other artists). The books, mostly art, literature, poetry, and history have been accrued over time, many of them were my fathers’. Often I make drawings there as the light is good and enters at unexpected angles according to the seasons.
